You can always expect a scene group to have the best sources and HEFTY proves exactly that with this awesome quality DVDScreener of Pineapple Express. Yesterdays P2P and Scene releases (all from the same source) were a big step above TS, but pretty low for being workprints (although all apart from the Kingben release were mistagged). As HEFTY says in their NFO, this is a true DVDscreener source from Sony and you can definitely tell the difference.

Quality: The quality on this release is FAR superior to yesterdays releases of this film. Video quality is crisp and clear and there is only ONE visible watermark in the lower left corner which has been blurred out. No B/W scenes or property of messages as far as I can see. Excellent copy and definitely the one to get. If you already downloaded the STG, Kingben or PLUTO release, scrap it and download this.

Synopsis: Lazy court-process clerk and stoner Dale Denton has only one reason to visit his equally lazy dealer Saul Silver: to purchase weed, specifically, a rare new strain called Pineapple Express. But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city’s most dangerous drug lord, he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene. Dale now has another reason to visit Saul: to find out if the weed is so rare that it can be traced back to him–and it is. As Dale and Saul run for their lives, they quickly discover that they’re not suffering from weed-fueled paranoia: incredibly, the bad guys really are hot on their trail and trying to figure out the fastest way to kill them both. All aboard the Pineapple Express.
